The Stars They Sparkled Brightly

by Family on January 8, 2022

by Father

The stars they sparkled brightly
As Venus sat so quietly
On her heavenly throne
The clouds like bubbles bursting
Left terra ever thirsting
The moon a golden sliver
Sent a sudden shiver
As I lumbered ever lonely
Across the sad and sandy shore
One more night I wondered
As the lightening loudly thundered
at horizon's door
I fought
I won
I lost
Then I won and lost again
I followed all the rules
Bring me back completed
And totally undefeated
In love's unholy war
