The World Is On My Tongue

by Family on June 14, 2022

by Daughter

The world is on my tongue
I taste the images
The detail is in my fingers
The trick is finding the words
Just as the pianist
Finds her notes to make a song
It's all a foreign language
The poetry of life
The waitress calling orders to the cook
Scattered smothered
And my aim is
To catch the delicate wonder
That dances around me
To see what is already here
