I Trade Truth

by Family on March 23, 2022

by Daughter

I trade truth for comfort
When the truth is quiet
I can bear it
But sometimes the truth is deafening
It's a car wreck of violence
That I cannot ignore
I pick up the pieces
And I put them in my pocket
But the cuts from the metal and the glass
Cause me to slowly bleed out
