A Half Empty Glass

by Family on February 1, 2022

by Father

A half empty glass
Once held a toast
In the past
To the future -
Catching up with yesterday
Never catching on to tomorrow;
And the wind blows
And the air is cold
And the floor creaks
And the shadows creep
Out of the walls
And stroll through the halls
Calling me by name.
