Winter Was Here

by Family on January 9, 2022

by Father

Winter was here
It was mine all alone
And the wet winter wind
Was blowing me home
I dreamed of the boy
Who died long ago
But keeps leaving deep tracks
In the wet winter snow
Winter had been long
And the snow had grown deep
The wind had blown strong
The cold brought me sleep
I faced toward the wind
Through the wet winter night
I woke in a fog
In the dim morning light
